Founder & Director

Amrita is a dental surgeon by profession, an artist by passion and an entrepreneur by choice. These facets of her define who she is today. She is grateful for the experiences she has had and continues to cherish her journey as she evolves each day.

Dentistry and art are uniquely linked, more so for Amrita as she specializes in the aesthetics oriented niche of smile-makeovers. She owns and runs a lovely studio, studio a, where she enjoys painting and teaching art, both on-line and off-line. As an artist, she likes capturing the essence of people on paper through portraiture. Apart from her studio, some of her works adorn the walls of art-lovers across the globe.

About Studio A

Studio a is an art studio that overlooks a lovely terrace garden and is a peaceful place in-spite of being the heart of the bustling secunderabad city. It is a mix of both old-world charm and contemporary style in its decor.

The ambiance of the studio with its paintings, artifacts and the lingering coffee aroma makes the visit a pleasurable experience. Dr. Amrita is the founder and director of Studio A.

The Studio was inaugurated on 21st march 2018, the birth anniversary of her mother, Saroj Laxman Rao Maha, who has been her constant art inspiration. Dr. Amrita feels the location of her dream studio above her clinic gives her immense flexibility to work on both her profession as well as creative passion.

I always had a great passion for artwork...I love to play with different mediums...I love to try something new each time... but for a brief period of time I had a stop. Hi Dr. Amrita, A big thanks to you for your online sketching session that I could attend living in Australia and making good use of this quarantine ! 🤗 I have always loved sketching and was a little confident with cartoons and animals, but I never thought I could shade the drawings to make it look realistic. Through your classes I could understand the physics behind the art and appreciated it not just as a hobby but as science. Understanding the science behind it helped me improve my sketches tremendously and gave me confidence to shade and try out realistic drawing. I was surprised to know that technique makes drawings much simpler rather than how difficult it looks. Now instead of being afraid of shading, I take it as a challenge to make it look as real as possible ! 💪 I could not have done this without your motivation and constant support to improve my art skills 🙏
